Good Soil is made by ChurchWiseAI LTD (“we”). These are the plain-language terms for playing, and they apply now. They are deliberately short, and they say what we actually do rather than reserving rights we have no intention of using.
Who can play, and who can have an account
Anyone can play Good Soil. The whole game — every field, every zone, every character — is open to you with no account and no sign-up.
Accounts are for ages 14 and up. An account does two things: it saves your farm so it follows you between devices, and it is what lets you have neighbors. It is also the one place we ask for an email address, so we ask your age there, once. If you are under 14 we don’t collect the email and you keep playing — your farm is saved in your own browser instead, and the neighbor part of the game stays closed. We explain why we drew the line that way, and what it costs you, on our privacy page.
The game is free
Good Soil is currently free to play. There are no in-app purchases today. If that ever changes, we’ll say so clearly before you’d be asked to pay for anything, and these terms will be updated first.
Your save data
If you play without signing in, your farm is saved only on your device (in your browser’s local storage). If you clear your browser data, uninstall, or switch devices without signing in first, that save can be lost — we have no copy of it anywhere.
Signing in backs your farm up so it can follow you between devices. We do our best to keep that sync reliable, but we can’t promise it will never fail — please treat any save, synced or not, as something that could in principle be lost, and not solely rely on it for anything precious to you.
Playing fairly
- Don’t try to break, exploit, or cheat the game’s systems.
- Don’t try to access other players’ accounts or data.
- Don’t scrape, reverse-engineer, or resell the game.
- Treat your neighbors with the same kindness the game itself tries to model. Only share an invite link with someone you actually know — it lets whoever holds it become your neighbor.
If a neighbor is anything other than welcome, you can mute them from your neighbors list, and remove, block or report them from inside a visit to their farm. A report is recorded for us to look at, and you never have to explain yourself in writing — you pick a reason from a short list.
No warranty
Good Soil is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind. We’re a small team building this carefully, but we can’t guarantee the game will always be available, bug-free, or uninterrupted.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. ChurchWiseAI LTD is an Ontario company.
